Dorion ( Quebec ) in 1951.
André
Chatelain has worked with Madeleine Leonard Tremblay and Charles
T. Garo. Creative classes with Louise Jalbert and drawing with
Claudine Ascher along with training from The Academy of Realist
Art, a private institution that teaches drawing and painting in
the old-master tradition, have directed the artist to dedicate
himself to oil technique on canvas applied in the old-master
method of realist art.
The
artist has participated in a number of solo and group
exhibitions and is fully devoted to oil painting and drawing.
His work is part of private collections throughout Canada, the
United States and France.
